Mac OS X Mail 1.2

"Mail" is the built-in Email program for MacOS X. Configuration is simple. Find the Mail icon in the Dock (at the bottom of the screen), and click it.

Mail Menu > Preferences

Go to the "Mail" menu that is right next to the "Apple" menu, and select "Preferences".

Preferences Window

The "Accounts" area should be highlighted already. Click "Add Account".

Account Setup

Enter the following information:

1. In the "Description" box, type a description to differentiate this account from others in Mail.
2. Type your Email address in the "Email Address" box.
3. Type your name in the "Full Name" box.
4. Type "mail.snowcrest.net" in the "Host Name" box.
5. Type in your SnowCrest Email username in the "User Name" box. If your SnowCrest Email is "myname@snowcrest.net", you would only enter "myname" here. This box is case sensitive.
6. Type in the password to the Email account in the "Password" box.
7. Select "mail.snowcrest.net" for the "Outgoing Mail Server". If "mail.snowcrest.net" is not an option, click the "Options..." button.
8. Click "OK" and you're done.

SMTP Server Options

1. Type "mail.snowcrest.net" in the "Outgoing Mail Server" box.
2. Click "OK" to go back to the "Account Information" window.
