When the semester begins, I will ask you to create and submit Bibliographies based on sample searches.
A BIBLIOGRAPHY refers to everything you have discovered and might use when writing on a topic. When researching your formal papers, you might submit several Working Bibliographies -- lists of works you're currently consulting. You may decide to not include everything from your working bibliography in a formal paper.
Later, when you submit formal papers, I will ask you to include a Works Cited. Unlike the Bibliography, the Works Cited contains ONLY those works you have actually cited in your paper. Therefore, it is likely to be much shorter.
A Works Cited list should never include a citation to a source which you have NOT cited in your paper.
