How to get to System Prefs.

Go to the Apple menu and select "System Preferences."

Click on Network.

  1. Click in the "Domain Name Servers" box. Enter the following numbers:
    1. 209.232.210.48
    2. 209.232.210.49
    These numbers may change. If everything else is configured correctly, and you experience connection difficulties, call us to verify these numbers.
  2. Click in the "Search Domains" box. Enter the following information:
    1. ns.snowcrest.net
    2. ns2.snowcrest.net
    These numbers may change. If everything else is configured correctly, and you experience connection difficulties, call us to verify these numbers.

Click on the PPP Tab.

  1. Type "SnowCrest" in the "Service Provider" box.
  2. Type in your SnowCrest local access number in the "Telephone Number" box. Remember that it is your responsibility to verify with your local telephone company that the SnowCrest access number is a local call for you.
  3. Type your SnowCrest username in the "Account Name" box. If your SnowCrest e-mail is "myname@snowcrest.net", you would only enter "myname" here. This box is case-sensitive.
  4. Type your SnowCrest password in the "Password" box. This box is case-sensitive.
  5. If you want your Mac to remember your password (so you do not have to type it everytime you connect), put a check in the "Save Password" box.

Click on the Modem Tab.

If you have an internal modem, select "Apple Internal 56k Modem (v.90). Otherwise, select the correct modem type for your modem.

Click on "Show All" in the top-left corner of the window, then click on Internet.

Click on the "Web" tab. Change the "Home Page" to "http://www.snowcrest.net/".
