LakeShastaBridge
This is a picture looking back at the bridge that we just drove over. The
weather was really warming up by now and it was only 10:00AM. Note the
dry grass along the roadside. The lake level is exceptionally high this
year and there aren't any muddy banks yet.

Mt.ShastaCloser
About 30 minutes later we are getting closer to Mt. Shasta, nearing the
small town of Dunsmuir, and Shasta Mountain beginning to really stand out.
About now, I gave Irene my head phone set (walkman) and she is enjoying
listening to a great tape sent to me from a friend in England. We have
the windows down and are throughly enjoying the drive.
