September 9 on the deck of the Siskiyou Arts Council, outside their jewel of a gallery, folks were free to drop in and stay as long as they liked while passersby flocked to the Farmers Market.

Here I am painting at Wright's Beach in Sonoma

Horned Dragon Style
Sprayed me with chi
Sound of wind in conifers
Feel at home here
Horned Dragon Corylis
Leaves me breathless
Once wire is wound
Our chi blended wood with metal

These two pieces continue my exploration of surrealism. Definite influence from Max Ernst shows in the moon using textured paint and rubbed glazes as well as the frottage on the collage section representing buildings. The hands of the clock are in the exact position of the Shahab Missile. The clock makes me think of the Doomsday Clock and at the same time Hans Richter, video artist from the 1920's.

Bringing the idea of the missile into closer focus, this composition drops it arbitrarily in an ocean setting with rocks that have fantastic features and missile armature that could be an insect.
