Lucky Shots
These photos don't relate to any visitor; special interest; adventure; or theme; they
are just interesting or beautiful "lucky shots" I want to share.
- As we were leaving the Labor Day music festival in the park at sunset, we noticed a beautiful
rainbow over Mount Shasta. I drove quickly to a spot nearby where I knew there was a
a good view and snaped this picture: Sunset Rainbow
- The next day, September 7, there was a breathtaking sunset light-show over Mount Eddy.
Of the many photos I took from our front porch, this one best captures what made it a
spiritual experience: Spiritual Sunset
- Late in the afternoon of February 6, 2000, lenticular clouds began to build over Mount
Shasta. I kept an eye on this buildup and shot this remarkable four layer
stack just before layers began to blend together.
