Joyce Acles and Mable Lythgoe met in 1966 after their husbands' job transfers took them to the Santa Clara Valley (Cupertino, CA) from Los Angeles and Tulsa, OK respectively. Over the years they raised their children and made contributions to Silicon Valley and are now both single (available) and enjoying their grandchildren. Joyce met Wes while working at MedaSonics, Inc. where they both enjoyed many corporate benefits and the fine people who worked there. Joyce and Mable were both laid off in the last few years from MedaSonics and Lockheed, respectively -- a big loss to both companies. They continue to persevere and pretend to be retired. In August of 1997, Mable sold her home in Cupertino and moved to Redding, CA. Joyce is still trapped in Mountain View, but hopes to someday make a big change too. In May 1998, Joyce traveled to Redding to see Mable's new digs and then they traveled together to Mt. Shasta to visit Wes and Jennie's new retirement home. We enjoyed a lovely day with Wes and Jennie including a delicious lunch, a tour of their beautiful retirement home, and then a tour of the surrounding area. Both tours took about the same time. Thanks again, Wes and Jennie, for a great time!
