Memorial Day Weekend

1999 Memorial day weekend turned out to be stay-at-home weekend, filled with eathing drinking and swimming.

LD tries to throw Den into the pool, but the tables were turned, not surprising tho..lets face it . . .it's a bit like a monkey trying to overthrow a Gorrilla, but ya gotta giveLD credit for trying.
memDay02
Not one to give up, LD was quite the persistant little fella.
memDay03
Quite a good laugh to watch the determination, and Dennis was determined not to be thrown in by a fella half his size.
memDay04
Well, well, well, would you believe it, he finally succeeded, but I missed the picture, camera wouldn't reload fast enough. They both ended up going in. Well done LD, just goes to show what determination can do.
memDay05
Fatso and Stacey talking to Sandy through the window .... Sandy was getting us some munchies.
memDay06
LD jumping in, while Den catches his breath.
memDay07
Little ol' me. . . well bigol' me at all by my lonesome.
memDay08
Gathering in the kitchen, the tribe was getting hungry. Abby on the floor with Sandy's new puppy.
memDay09
Evening rolls on, it's still only Friday night.
memDay10
Mum, Dad, Dan Marciel, Sandy, LD Joined us down at the creek for a BBQ. Before the meal we had a few drinks at the creek while we watched people float down the creek. There was about 100 people during the day.
memDay11
As they neared the "rapids" you could hear the concerned shreaks.
memDay12
LD decided to go fishing, he waded in and headed up stream.
memDay19
It wasn't long before LD caught a beautiful Rainbow trout.
memDay20
Tummies were rumbling, steaks were filling the air, wine was flowing, company had good tales to tell.
memDay21
Chow down, what a picture perfect place to eat. Fantastic weather, couldn't have been any better.
memDay22
Meal was over and Sandy and I decided to go for a swim. The water was flowing good, but the wine had taken our fears away.
memDay23
I jumped in ahead of LD, seconds later the flowing stream dragged me past him.
memDay24
LD held out his hand and saved the whale in distress.
memDay25
Sandy was hesitant to join us, so LD got out of the water to persuade her.
memDay26
Sandy made it in and we walked along the sandy bank on the other side.
memDay27
Last of the tribe, Den finally braved it it.
memDay28
Time to come in. We dried of, lit a huge camp fire, and sat around it for another two hrs watching the stars and flickering flames while talking the night away . . and a good day was had by all . . "They just don't get any better"
