Board Actions
A meeting of the Club and Foundation boards was held at the Weed Boulevard Subway on October 16. Items discussed included - 1. Approval of Deborra's suggestion that she could video record our student of the month presentations for WHS, and incorporate them into the Cougar student presentations on the Siskiyou Media Council channel. 2. It was decided to keep the new raffle simple. If you draw one of the white marbles, the money stays in the pot, and the marble is removed from play. If you draw the black marble, you win the total pot. 3. It was decided to try Mt. Shasta Resort for the Christmas Party this year on Friday December 14. We will be dark on the 13th. December 6 will be a regular meeting. Alisa will coordinate with the Resort. 4. To emphasize our Club's sphere of influence, we would like to offer recognition to SOM's at Butteville and Gazelle schools. Earl will talk to both schools to see what they would like to do. It could be quarterly or yearly, depending on the number of 8th graders. Alternatively, we could offer to provide some critical supplies or other assistance for which they have a need.
