SERVICE

The emphasis of Rotary is to create within the individual the IDEAL OF SERVICE. Rotarians are encouraged and supported in their personal activities in civic, youth services, and public service organizations. Volunteers for our many worthy service activities are drawn from the Club.
This Rotary club undertakes a wide variety of service activities in vocation, community and international promotion of goodwill and understanding.

ACTIVITIES OF OUR CLUB

Club members are all expected to give of their time and energy in the pursuit of event revenues used for funding local and world wide giving programs. Several of these events are:
COUNTY FAIR DRINK  BOOTH:
The club has purchased a "Rotomobile" self-contained beverage service trailer from which we sell a variety of beverages at the annual Siskiyou County Golden Fair for 5 days, and produce about $3000 in profits to be used in service projects.
WEED CARNEVALE:
The "Rotomobile" is also used to sell beverages for four days at this yearly event.
SPECIAL EVENTS 2001-09:
The Rotomobile was used in 2001 to support the
"Concert in the Park" and "Centennial Days & Street Faire", which were one-time special events held in celebration of Weed's 100 year anniversary.   In 2002 through 2006 we also supported "Weed's Wildflower Festival" for 3 days in August '02 & '03, 2 days in June '04 & '05, and 9/23/06.
