SnowCrest WebMail will allow you to check your e-mail directly from your web browser. This makes it possible to check your mail when you are away from your computer, using a friend's computer, or on a trip.

You can access SnowCrest WebMail either securely or nonsecurely. The secure version will encrypt the data that comes to and from your computer, but it is slightly slower to use than the nonsecure version. If you are connected to one of SnowCrest's modems, then there is no advantage to using the secure version. If you are using a computer on another service, then the secure version is a better choice. Both the secure version and the nonsecure version always encrypt your username and password.

SnowCrest WebMail is intended as a supplement to your dedicated e-mail client. In general, programs such as Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger, and Eudora Light are preferred over SnowCrest WebMail for everyday use.
