7/28/04- 5PM- Sims Fire (Hyampom)- On Grouse Creek, NW of Hyampom, 2000 acres plus.
7/29/04- 1PM- Red Cross, TC ARES (Ham Radio) activity at Hayfork.
7/29/04- 2 PM- UNOFFICIAL- comments monitored relating to fire activity..seems to be winding down a bit.
7/30/04- 1PM- 50% contained, target containment 8/5/04
7/30/04- 1PM- PGE continues to work on power restoration to Hyampom Area
7/31/04- 1PM- There are currently 1,113 firefighters and support personnel working on the fire, including 28 hand crews, 8 helicopters, 44 engines, 8 bulldozers, 8 water tenders and 2 camp crews. Aprox.60% containment, with full containment expected within the next 7 days. Area Weather Forecasts include possible wind, humidity and thunderstorms that can influence the behavior of the fire.
8/02/04- 1PM- FIRE DECLARED CONTAINED...100%.. FINAL ACREAGE BURNED- 4,030, 4 Structures Burned.
