to inspect and safely remove these potential hazards. Waiting for
spring or summer to correct broken branches may cause more damage to your
tree by causing rips in the bark or by breaking other branches. This makes
the tree more susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

Trees that have fallen during a storm present the very real danger of
downed, or crossed, utility lines. At times storm conditions may cause
guy wires, metal fences, and even highway guard rails to become fatally
energized.
If you have a tree that has fallen into or through any utility lines,
remain clear of the area and notify emergency services.
