Horse Sponsorships are needed for the feeding and care of our Heroes

Last year, Stable Hands spent $17,456.36 on Horse Expenses. With medical care, shoeing, feeding, and boarding, our horses live happy, healthy lives. At the Gala Fundraiser, Stable Hands offered horse sponsorships to help cover the cost of the care of these heroes. Stable Hands hold three sessions a year beginning March and ending in October. It would be greatly appreciated if sponsors could donate $200 a session for one of the following horses. To donate click on the button.

Blondy Blondie is a 14 year old registered Quarter Horse and registered Palomino. She is a nice friendly mare who has been newly introduced to hippotherapy and is on loan from Nancy Baker.
Snoopy is a 15 year old registered Quarter horse which we were able to purchase with a grant from the American Quarter Horse Association in 2003. He is friendly and curious about his riders. Snoopy did ranch work and team roping for Dan and Mischelle O'Hare before becoming a therapy horse.
Cody is a gentle, sensitive and kind Welsh pony. He is a wise and patient teacher for young riders. He is 27 years old (we think) and is on loan to us from Joan Akana.
Fanci is a 15 year old sweet, gentle mare who was donated to us by the Res-Q-Ranch in Oregon in 2004. She is an Arab/Welsh cross and a good size for small riders and those needing side walkers.
Hershey is a 25 year old registered quarter horse on loan to us from the Willow Creek Ranch in McCloud. Large, gentle and very smooth, Hershey takes care of some of our most disabled adults. He has done ranch work, roping, and worked on a dude string before his career change to therapeutic riding.
Pistol Pete is a registered miniature horse. He is sweet and friendly and is very popular for dismounted activities. He helps disabled adults learn the Seven Parelli Games for horses and is a good ice breaker for those who are intimidated by the bigger horses. He is on loan to us by Joan Akana. This is his first year working regularly at Stable Hands.
Sharky is a 26 year old gentle giant. He is very friendly and kind. Sharky had eye surgery last year at UC Davis. After six weeks of loving care he was able to return to work to the great joy of the riders and volunteers who love him. He was donated to Stable Hands in 2002 by the Hart Ranch in Montague.
