In 1996, Stable Hands was formed as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The mission of Stable Hands is to provide therapeutic horsemanship activities to children and adults with disabilities in Siskiyou County. Therapeutic riding is a specialized instruction in riding skills and horse handling taught by certified therapeutic riding instructors. Hippotherapy is a Greek term meaning treatment with the use of the horse. Health care professionals use the movement of the horse to achieve specific therapy goals.
Along with the non profit status our Employer's ID and Articles of Incorportation are also available on-line. After eleven years of service, this year our ByLaws have been viewed and revised.
Our center relies heavily on volunteers and financial contributions to operate and to keep our programs affordable. Please explore our website for further information on how you can become involved.
