Sally L. Saunders is a widely published Poet, Poetry Therapist, Lecturer, Free-Lance Writer and Workshop Leader. Sally's work has appeared in The New York Times, Times International, The London Times, The Denver Post, and among over three hundred other anthologies, magazines and newspapers. Her lesson plan for teaching poetry writing was published in The Christian Science Monitor. Sally has six poetry books published. Her background includes receiving a B.S. at George Williams College. Currently, she is an active member in several professional societies including The Academy of American Poets and the Association of Poetry Therapy. She has received many prizes for her poetry. Also, she is listed in several Who's Who publications including Who's Who of America and Who's Who of American Women.
"A Johnny Appleseed Poet," Sally travels all over the country running workshops. Some of her prestigious work includes reading poetry at The Academyof American Poets, NYC, NY, lectured at New School, NYC, NY and lectured on The Healing Power of Poetry at the University of Medical Center, San Francisco, CA. Also She has been the Poet in residence at Duke University Medical Center in N.C. It is her absolute conviction that "Everyone is a Poet!" Sally has developed fun techniques to help individuals to get in touch with their own unique creativity.

The poet-in-residence letter is for colleges and organizations that have accommodations where she can stay and present programs.
