Sally L. Saunders is a widely published Poet, Poetry Therapist, Lecturer, Free-Lance Writer and Workshop Leader. Sally's work has appeared in The New York Times, Times International, The London Times, The Denver Post, and among over three hundred other anthologies, magazines and newspapers. Her lesson plan for teaching poetry writing was published in The Christian Science Monitor. Sally has six poetry books published. Her background includes receiving a B.S. at George Williams College. Currently, she is an active member in several professional societies including The Academy of American Poets and the Association of Poetry Therapy. She has received many prizes for her poetry. Also, she is listed in several Who's Who publications including Who's Who of America and Who's Who of American Women.

"A Johnny Appleseed Poet," Sally travels all over the country running workshops. Some of her prestigious work includes reading poetry at The Academyof American Poets, NYC, NY, lectured at New School, NYC, NY and lectured on The Healing Power of Poetry at the University of Medical Center, San Francisco, CA. Also She has been the Poet in residence at Duke University Medical Center in N.C. It is her absolute conviction that "Everyone is a Poet!" Sally has developed fun techniques to help individuals to get in touch with their own unique creativity.

I will be doing a free reading of my most recent works at the Presidio Branch Library
in the Community Room at 3150 Sacramento Street (between Baker and Lyon),
San Francisco, 94115
(415) 355-2880. There is an open mike, so please bring poetry to share.
I have some East Coast friends flying out for this event and my poetry event the next day.
I hope you can come to meet them, and they can meet you!

SUNDAY, September 16, 2018, 11:00 a.m.
I will give a free talk at the Cultural Integration Fellowship
2650 Fulton Street, San Francisco,
called “Everyone Is A Poet and the Healing Power of Poetry”.
Come hear me talk about my experiences doing poetry therapy in hospitals
and teaching poetry writing to people in many different places.
Bring a poem or few to read!
Friends from the East Coast have heard so many wonderful reviews of your work
that they want to come, hear, and meet you! Refreshments, too!

SUNDAY, November 18th, 2018, 11:00 a.m.
we will meet at the Cultural Integration Fellowship for a free event featuring poetry,
fun, and good refreshments! The events begin at 11:00 a.m., and end around 12:30 p.m.
You can bring poems to read, or just come to hear me and other people read poetry.
The Cultural Integration Fellowship is at 2650 Fulton Street, San Francisco
From downtown San Francisco, take the 5 Fulton bus to Arguello.

WEDNESDAY, January 9th, 2019, 8:00 p.m.
Sally will start her poetry at 8:00 p.m. for 20 minutes.
People who want to participate in the open mike need to arrive by 7:00 p.m. to sign up.
Come to Sacred Grounds to share poetry, enjoy poetry,
and hear Sally read her poetry and celebrate her birthday.
Sacred Grounds Cafe is at Hayes and Cole in San Francisco. The event is free,
but come early to get a table, and buy some food or coffee.
Chocolate birthday cake is provided!

SUNDAY, January 13th, 2019, 11:00 a.m.
at the Cultural Integration Fellowship there will be an open mike,
poetry festival and celebration of my birthday.
No presents, just your presence.
