New Addition to the Collection

Siskiyou County Library recently received multiple sets of compact disc audio guides that serve as an introduction to some of the most popular and classic books. These guides are part of “The Big Read” initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts. The Big Read is designed to restore reading to the center of American culture.

These compact discs will be available for check-out at most branch libraries throughout the county and would make a great addition to any teacher’s literature curriculum. The introduction on these guides is entertaining and helps bring the book to life and create excitement in anticipation of reading the book.
