Local Author Gifts Each Branch a Copy of New Mt. Shasta Book

At a special ceremony on June 23rd at Turtle Bay, the library was gifted multiple copies of a new book titled Sudden and Solitary, Mount Shasta and It's Artistic Legacy. This book was written by local author William Miesse. Miesse has lived at the base of Mt. Shasta since 1981 and specializes in the scholarly exploration of California's history. This book presents over 150 years of artwork inspired by Mt. Shasta.
