Tulelake Friends of the Library Meet!

Tulelake Friends had their first meeting in many years. We had a good attendance and discussed some much needed repairs and upgrades to our library. Our next meeting will be held on March 25 at 7 PM at the Tulelake Library. There is lots of new information to share and decisions to be made and we are hoping for another great turnout.

Preschooler storytime is being held every Tuesday between 2:30 & 3:00 pm. The storytime is geared toward the preschool age, but we welcome family groups of any age. Join Pam for a story or two, some songs and a simple craft. Moms & Dads can use this time to see what books are available to take home for the kids, and for parents also. Once a child has attended story time, they will receive a new sticker of their choice each time they come to the library.

Extended library hours will continue on Tuesdays through the end of August. We are open until 7 pm every Tuesday. We will evaluate the popularity of the extra two hours, to see if we want to continue after that. Library staff will be volunteering their time during this six month trial period. We hope that this will allow patrons to come into the library that otherwise might not be able to during the day.

If you have any more questions about the new happenings at the Tulelake Branch, please call 667-2291.
