Fort Jones Town Hall Meeting Update
Fort Jones librarian, Teresa Johnson, asked, "How can the library better serve you?" at Thursday’s Town Hall Meeting. The public responded with some great ideas including: more space, more hours, more computers, more books, DVDs, audios, and magazines for all ages, and more outreach services for the community. As a result of the legacy given to the Fort Jones Library by Floyd Evans, the Baker & Taylor Leasing Program will be resumed for both adults and children within the next few months. This will ensure a selection of current and bestseller books for the Fort Jones collection.
The Fort Jones Library has big ideas about potential expansion as well and is continuing to solicit input on how the community’s needs can be best served. Please come by the library Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and give the librarian your input.
