The SCRTPA develops and maintains the Shasta County TDM which forecasts land use and corresponding travel behavior at least 20 years into the future. The model is used to determine travel needs and conduct traffic impact analysis for new development projects. Model updates and training are provided with consultant assistance. Over the next few years, the SCRTPA will be further enhancing the TDM to reflect changes in the local housing and job markets. Additional tools will be added to meet Senate Bill 375 (SB375) requirements.
