Phil's Wonderful Life!

Hi, I'm Phil. I was born on August 3, 1973, in Oregon. Since then my life has been a mad struggle to survive. I have fought for every breath of clean air, for every tiny morsel of food, and for even the tiniest amount of shelter from the elements. Well, maybe I didn't have to fight for every piece of food, but I did for some. There was this one time, when my brother tried to take my lollypop away from me... Well, you get the idea.

Anyway...

I have now graduated from UCSB with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. I am currently working for my Dad's business, Snowcrest Computer Specialties, which provides Internet access to Northern California. During my off hours, though, I'm looking for work in engineering.

More about me...

I also sing and play classical piano. I have been playing piano sice I was 10, and as my brother will tell you, I particularly enjoy "cannon" music; that is, the music of Liszt, fast Chopin, L.M. Gottschalk, Scott Joplin, Rachmaninov, and many others like these. What he won't mention, though, is that I also love lyrical music, particularly those with a singable melody. This includes composers such as Mendelsohn, Schubert, Mozart, again Chopin, and others. And of course I love the music of Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, etc. etc. ad nauseum. As far as singing goes, I have sung all my life. While in college, I was a member of The Schubertians, led by Prof. Carl Zytowski, a wonderful composer, arranger, and conductor, who has now retired after some forty years of dedicated service to the University. The Schubertians is a small male ensemble (~12 singers) which has performed all over the world, and which specializes in the male part-songs of Franz Schubert, which are all beautiful pieces. In my Junior year we went to England on tour. That was one of the highlights of my college experience.

More to come...

I will be adding to this short autobiography until it becomes a heaping mammoth of a web page, at which point I will publish it and make millions of dollars. Muahahahahah! (Of course, at my current rate of modifying this page, I will be 100 years old before I can do this!)
