Paul and I moved to Siskiyou county in Northern California in 1973. We raise purebred Angus cattle and Registered Cotswold sheep. The Cotswold breed of sheep are on the rare breed sheep list and have beautiful wool. We started raising sheep when our two children were in 4-H. They have grown up and left the ranch but the cattle and sheep are still here. We live in the mountains on a 300 acre ranch with lots of trees, a beautiful stream and waterfall. The cattle, sheep, horses, cats and dogs all make for a wonderful life. I first started spinning in 1978 when Paul bought me a spinning wheel for Christmas. I learned to spin but only started spinning a lot and making hats around 1995. I enjoy making hats as I can make them all just a little different. We have retired from our town jobs in the medical field to concentrate on ranch life. If you are ever in our area, give us a call to be sure we are home and come on out to the ranch. We would enjoy meeting you.
