Notes for Class
October 23
submitted by Megan Niessink
Today we wrote down on a paper the title of our essay and three main points
that we planned on covering. The title needed to be catchy and informative.
We paper clipped this page to the short description of the essay,
bibliography, and articles that we brought, as well as an evaluation sheet
that we were given. We divided into small groups and used the sheet to
evaluate each packet of papers. While we were doing this we got to see
another example of a good explanatory essay about use of colors in
advertising. This activity took up the whole period, so the reading quiz was
moved to Thursday. Dont forget your scantrons for this! The rough drafts
are due Thursday too and they need to be in a folder with all the materials,
articles, and other stuff. The final draft is due the 1st of November and
must be accompanied by a disk containing the file or an e-mail with it
attached. Check the homework page to make sure there are no more additions.
