 Day Eight

*Talked about the recent tragedy in New York, its impact, unity, the state

of the nation, people that were there, the draft, other incidences that

shook the nation, students opinions, etc. Lasted 50 min.

*Formed into groups to discuss a short article by Marilyn Savant on heroism.

(10 min.)

*Each student wrote about what he or she thought was the definition of a

hero, who the student agreed with (in article), and why. (20 minutes)

*Handed in the heroism papers and all other homework: journal summary, page

43, and 45 questions, and fragments and run-ons online quiz.
