Remembering Will

After the Park
After the park reception on Saturday, some of Will’s friends
gathered at Gary’s Pizza Parlor, where Will had worked
when he was in high school.

This is a group of friends from Lake Tahoe,
including Lynn, second from the right.
Europe and Lake Tahoe are represented by Dusten,
James, Ryan, and John.
If someone can send all the names of the hometown crowd
shown in these two photos, we will insert them.
There were gatherings at Walt’s place, “Journey’s End,” and many of
the men visited there.  Folks also met at Railroad Park, and in Mt. Shasta.
At the Fawn Court house, friends and family had been coming together for days before Willie’s funeral, and they came for many days afterward.

But for a while the women had the family home to themselves.

Cousin Berit , Falene, and her mother Mae, rest at the house. Not shown are Berit's mother, Karen, her sister, Inga, and Inga's baby, Samir. These women were a great presence and comfort, and their coming to us will never be forgotten.

Magdalen Young, whose love and
care were immense, and Diane
read a book from Barbara Ulbrich.

Later the men returned and we went to
Railroad Park, where friends of Willie's from
everywhere had gathered.
Ken visited with Will’s high
school friend, Amber, who spoke
of how much his friendship
had meant to her.
Many friendships were made that day, including Willie’s hometown friend, Josiah, and Will’s friend from Europe and Tahoe, John.
