Welcome
to The Yoho Africa Page. The Yoho's, Michael, Jean, and Blaine, will
be moving from Trinity County in northern California to the coastal city
of Cotonou in Benin, West Africa this August. Jean and Blaine will
be teaching at the British School of Cotonou beginning in September.
Michael will be a student in the secondary part of the school. Originally,
we created this page for ourselves as a convenient source of links to information
about Africa, and in particular, Benin. Hopefully, it will also be
of interest to others who may want to learn more about where we are going.
So, if you want to learn more about Benin, click on some of the links below.
(Two notes: The official language
of Benin is French, so we have included two online dictionaries, French
to English and English to French. Secondly, the currency used in
Benin is the Central Africa Cfa franc. To check out the exchange
rate from Central Africa Francs to U.S. dollars, click on the currency
converter.)
