Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI)
SnowCrest is encouraging its customers and friends to join Berkeley scientists in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. You can help by installing Berkeley's screen saver on your computer. Your computer will then process some of the radio signals received from space, becoming one of millions of computers working on this project.
Here are the steps:
- Download the screen saver from setiathome.berkeley.edu.
- Install the software and assign yourself an account at seti@home.
- Join the "SnowCrest" group at seti@home.
Please select "Ask me before connecting to the Internet" when installing the software. If you select "Connect automatically...", your computer may tie up your telephone line without your knowledge.
