- PRESS RELEASES -

Ian McFeron Band: The Ian McFeron Band exploded onto the Seattle music scene shortly after releasing their debut album, Don't Look Back (2003), when they were discovered by "The Mountain" in Seattle (AAA-formatted KMTT at 103.7 FM). Within months, the first single, Love Me Twice, edged out songs by Modest Mouse, Bob Schneider, The Bo Deans, and Ray LaMontagne in The Mountain's "New Music Throwdown," a weekly competition where listeners vote for their favorite of two new songs. The band went on to share the spotlight with international and national artists such as Patty Griffin, Nanci Griffith, Shawn Mullins, Amos Lee, Sister Hazel, Missy Higgins, Julia Fordham, Carbon Leaf, The Hothouse Flowers, and Jars of Clay.
A prolific songwriter whose lyrical prose and fervent work ethic has drawn comparisons to Bob Dylan and Ryan Adams, McFeron has released a steady stream of albums: Don't Look Back (2003), A Long Way To Freedom (2005), and Fistfight With Father Time (2006). Let It Ride (2007) marks the band's fourth full length LP- a fourteen-track narrative spanning themes of love and heartbreak, faith and despair, political corruption and hope. Released on March 3rd, 2007, Let It Ride was celebrated with back-to-back shows at the Triple Door in Seattle, both of which sold out in advance.
In live performance, McFeron (vocals, guitars, piano) is joined by the Texas fiddle of Alisa Milner and the backbeat rhythms of Todd VanSelus and Mark Bateman. The band has also performed with well-known Northwest lead-guitar players such as Alice Stuart and Rod Cook, and with slide-guitar virtuoso Dan Tyack. The diverse musicianship of its members allows the Ian McFeron Band to shift smoothly through a variety of roots-Americana styles, ranging from acoustic folk rock to gritty alt-country blues, from heartfelt, soulful ballads to driving, danceable backbeat grooves.

Janet Robin w/special guest November 2nd:
JANET ROBIN BIOGRAPHY A Former student of Randy Rhodes, LA singer-songwriter-guitarist, Janet Robin has worked as a touring musician and guitarist with the likes of Lindsey Buckingham (solo band), Michelle Shocked, Meredith Brooks and more. With four cds under her belt, released on her independent label, little sister Records, Janet has been described in reviews as "smart, savvy, fuzzy, hooky pop, edgy electro-acoustic pop (L.A. Weekly), & rockin with excellent songs and guitar work (L.A. Weekly - Recommended Live Dates), and her shows across the country have been building a strong momentum. In 2007, she finished an EP with producers David Bianco (John Hiatt, Mick Jagger) and Steve B. (Eminem). Several of her songs have been featured in WBs Felicity, Fox Channels Wonderfalls, and on various other singer-songwriters cds, including Anne McCue and Maia Sharp with whom she has many co-writes. Janet has opened for Colin Hay (men at work), Meredith Brooks, Melissa Ferrick, Kelly Joe Phelps, Ann & Nancy Wilson (Heart), The Smithereens, Leon Russell, and many other national touring artists. She recently returned from a successful tour in the Czech Republic where she opened for November 2nd (EMI Records) and headlined various shows of her own. She was featured on Czech TV, and in several national newspapers. She'll be returning again to Europe for more dates in several other countries. Her vigorous touring nationally and internationally has built her a loyal following, and her energetic performances and guitar playing are always received by her audience with great enthusiasm.
NOVEMBER 2ND BIOGRAPHY Driven by a dynamic female lead vocal, November 2nd have established themselves as one of the Czech Republic‘s newest talents. Not only have they captured such prizes as the Jim Beam Music 'best new talent' award; they have also caught the attention of the Czech and European press.
The Prague based group composes and writes its own material in English. Their influences vary from rock, alternative to country. Several years of playing together have produced songs with strong melodies and moving lyrics.
In the Czech Republic, November 2nd have supported well-known bands and musicians like Alanis Morissette, Suzanne Vega, Spin Doctors, Reef, Bryan Adams, Dave Gahan and Crash Test Dummies. They have appeared on TV several times and nowadays they perform in clubs and open-air festivals around Europe and the US.
Their debut album called Midnight Desert (EMI/Escape) was released in 2002. That year, the band was nominated for the annual Czech Grammy awarded by the Academy of Popular Music, in the category of "new comer of the year". They were a runner up in this competition. November 2nd, however, did win the same category in a fan survey in Report music magazine and also on Radio Express.
November 2nd’s second release, Little Miss Behavin and the Troublemakers (EMI/Escape) was influenced by their stay in New York. The 10 song collection was recorded in classic analog style and mixed by none other than David Bianco of Mick Jagger, Santana and Tom Petty fame. One song was also mixed by Steve Walsh who has worked previously with Erasure and Greta Gaines. The album was mastered in Oasis Mastering in Los Angeles under the careful hands of Eddy Schreyer (Alice in Chains, Ben Harper, Tracy Chapman, Johnny Cash).
In its first week of release, Little Miss Behavin and the Troublemakers, immediately entered the Czech Top 40 and received rave reviews. Ócko, the 24 hour Czech music station, has nominated November 2nd in two of their yearly categories – group of the year and singer of the year.

Rube & the Rhythm Rockers is a dynamic new blues band with a lot of old experience. Featuring the classic 4 piece mix of guitar, bass, drums and harmonica, the band focuses on a varied bag of blues styles. From New Orleans rhumbas, straight Chicago blues, or West Coast jump and swing, the band offers driving grooves, hot solos and gritty expressive vocals.
What they are saying... As the GM of the Big Room, located at The Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. , I've had the pleasure of presenting over 40 artists that have been nominated for W.C. Handy Awards (the Oscar of da blues). When listening to Rube & The Rhythm Rockers, it quickly becomes apparent that these guys have spent quality time studying at the altar of the masters. Right off, you notice two things. First, they “get it.” They understand the language of the blues. And second, that Rube and his journeyman group of bluesmen understand that it's tone and taste that makes the blues touch the soul. I highly recommend you give them a listen. And even more, I recommend you see them live. Rube & The Rhythm Rockers live is where it's at. -- Bob Littell General Manager Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
