The dharma center from In Buddha's Kitchen (called "Dorje Ling" in the book) is based on a real place. Artist Sandy Shum took a tour of the kitchen there in a series of impressionistic photographs. Thank you, Sandy, for permission to use them.

Artist Statement:
I wish to provide a moment to pause and reflect on the wonder and grace in
the dreamlight of daily life.
Bio:
Originally from California, Sandy Shum has lived and traveled in Asia for
over a decade. Impressionistic Photography portfolio includes images from
Nepal, Cambodia, Thailand, Bhutan, as well as California. Shum has had solo
exhibitions in Asia and California, and her images are held in private
collections internationally.
