I have been doing comissions for several years, and have only had a few people write me with cosmissions. Most have been satisfied with what Ihave done. Finally, I got a few good pictures to put up to show my skill.
The first is a recent costume from Fushigi Yuugi, the Emperor Hotohori. WHich was a great success at FanimeCon '02. Here is a statement from the lady who comissioned it.
"The costume I went to Fanime Con 2002 in was made after the character Hotohori in Fushigi Yuugi. I decided to do this character for a couple different reasons. 1) People rarely cosplay as him. 2) He has some of the best costumes. 3) I love his emperial robes. I absolutely love the costume he wears in the mid 20 episodes. Being able to wear this costume was a complete joy. Working with Joe to make this costume was an awesome experience. He was always friendly, helpfull and explained things when need be. It just made the whole experience that more wonderfull. The costume itself was very, very well made. The materials he picked to use were those that just made the costume shine. The idea to use velvet instead of silk was the greatest decision. The velvet just made the costume look even more profound and beautiful. I'm very happy with all the decisions he made in making the costume and I really liked how he contacted me before moving on to make sure it was alright with me. I'll always keep my Hotohori costume"
