Email Faxing & Paging

With "E-mail page", mail messages are sent as they are received to your pager. If you have a numeric pager, it will display a numeric message of your choosing each time you receive mail (the same message on your pager each time). If you have an alpha pager, the "From" line, and part of the text of the mail (up to 240 characters total - limit of most paging systems) will be sent to your pager (attachments will not be sent). In either case, the entire message will still be stored in your mailbox, allowing you to retrieve it the next time you sign on to SnowCrest.

The "E-mail page" service comes with an extra mailbox (if you request), allowing you to ask correspondents to send messages intended for your pager to that box, and messages not intended for your pager to your normal box. This extra mailbox requires you to specify a mailbox name and password when you order the service. If you do not request the extra mailbox, then ALL messages to your normal mailbox will be paged.

If your pager service has a local number for us to dial (please call us to determine what is or is not local for us), this includes 50 pages per month. Extra pages are 10 cents per page (over 50 in one month). If your pager has a (within California) long distance number for us to dial, this includes 25 pages per month, and extra pages are 20 cents per page. If your pager has an 800/888 number for us to dial, we will provide an unlimited number of pages per month for this price.

With "E-mail fax", mail messages are sent as they are received to your fax machine. The entire message will be sent, but attachments will not be sent. The entire message (including attachments) will optionally still be stored in your mailbox, allowing you to retrieve it the next time you sign on to SnowCrest.

If your fax machine does not have a local number for us to dial, we will require that you obtain an 800/888 number for the fax machine (some providers of 800/888 service are very reasonable - as low as seven cents per minute. You certainly do not have to give out that number to anyone else if you don't want others to use it.) With an 800/888 number for us to dial, we will provide an unlimited number of faxes per month for this price. Note that, even if your fax machine has a local number for us, it may be a better deal for you to provide an 800/888 number, in order to receive unlimited faxes.
