PROJECT GUIDE 2000 FOR THE MOST CURRENT PROJECT GUIDE CLICK HERE
Dear
Alliance women,
During the past
years, the Alliance Women groups have been partners with the Bongolo Evangelical
Hospital through your prayers and giving. There have been many occasions that
the items that we were in need of showed up in a package sent by you! We thank
God for you and your continued ministry with us in spreading God's love through
the medical ministry. For example, this past year we
have had about 16 bum patients due to faulty kerosene and your gifts of
compresses and rolled bandages were very helpful We had to end up using rolled
bandages for compresses, so we are now in a real need for compresses.
Packages should be
sent to:
Bongolo Evangelical
Hospital
The packages should
be sent in large sturdy cartons. Packages arrive in good condition if wrapped in
a plastic bag, placed in a box and sealed with packaging tape (No string). When
sending liquids, place the bottle in a zip-lock bag and seal it. Please do not
send soap and food stuffs in the same package! Before sealing your package, slip
a card with your return address inside the package. Packages take several months
to arrive, anywhere from 6-12 months. We will notify you when your package
arrives to us.
If you have medical
supplies that are not on this list, but you think may be useful, or any
questions, please contact:
Coleen (Johnson)
Lofgren
If you write E-mail
also send your address in case she needs to send you information. Coleen worked
as a nurse at our hospital from 1977-1994 and is aware of our current needs. To
those of you who are in the medical profession and may be able to obtain some
other medical, surgical, or dental items, please contact Coleen and she'll send
you a list of needs.
